Steelpad Steel Grip

Company: Steelpad
Product: Mouse grips
Reviewer: Goblin

We’d like to thank Danny at softtrading.info for providing us with the steelpad Steel grip to review.

It seems that gamers are always looking for that special something to give them an edge while playing. Steelpad, a company well known for their gaming products has come out with the Steel grip. Simply put, the steel grip is 5 pieces of precut foam with adhesive backing made to stick on your mouse in strategic positions. Also, if the pads do not fit your specific mouse, you can cut the pads down to size very easily.

With the steel grip package you receive the pieces of foam and instructions printed on the back. Honestly, the hardest part of the installation was removing the paper backing. After that it is just a matter of placing the pads where they will be most comfortable for you to use. This is one of those measure twice, cut once scenarios. Make sure the pads are where you want them to be BEFORE you press them into place. Once down, you are not going to move them again without a fight, which makes sense considering you would not want the pads moving around while you are playing.

The Steel grip is designed to increase your grip and absorb any sweat you might have while playing. This kind of creeped me out. I wasn’t too sure l wanted a sweat sponge glued to my mouse but l decided to give it a try anyways and l’m glad l did.

After some intense gaming l found that my grip on the mouse was improved quite a bit and either l don’t sweat a lot during games or these pads remove the sweat very efficiently but they did not feel clammy and squishy like l imagined they would.

Simply put, the steel grip delivered on what it promised to do. If you’re looking for that extra edge while gaming, the Steel grip is a nice cheap way to make sure that your mouse stays nice and dry in your hand no matter what the stress level.

Pros:

• Improved grip
• Keeps your hand sweat free
• Easy to install
• Not expensive

Cons:
None. It does exactly what it said it would do. Rare enough in this day and age!
