Gaming is all about extremes. If you want to stand out you need something that is bigger faster and cooler than anything else out there. Of course there are limits to this sort of thing as well. Today, we are going to take a look at Steelpad’s newest offering: the QcK+. A mousepad that is all about pushing the limits.
Now, i am of the opinion that there is such a thing as too big when it comes to mousepads. While i have enjoyed previous mousepads that have been produced by Steelpad, such as the 4D i have always found that while it is nice to have a lot of room on the mousepad to manoeuvre, these pads tend to take up a fair amount of real estate on your desk top. Well, i can honestly say i was surprised when i received the QcK+ in the mail.
First off, i have to say that i have not seen shipping that fast in a long time. From shipping date to arriving on our doorstep, it took approximately 3 days. Now, figure this went from Denmark to Canada. Impressive! Soft Trading ApS has implemented a new Express delivery service and it is both fast and efficient. Just another way they are bringing a higher level of service to all the gamers out there.
Of course, when i got the package i was a little confused. I expected a flat envelope but what i received was a tube. Why would they ship a mousepad in a tube? Well, this is not what i would call a mouse pad. This is more of a mouse blanket! If you need something to spread over your legs on those cold gaming nights, have we got a mousepad for you. There is nothing to really compare the QcK+ to. I’ve never seen a pad come anywhere near this size. This is made for all you gamers out there who play with a lot of wrist and elbow action. If you fall off this mouse pad then there is something seriously wrong with your mousing technique.
What i really liked about this pad was the fact that it is made of a nice durable cloth with a non-slip backing. This pad will not slide around on your desk like other pads i have seen. Lay it down and relax. That pad is not going anywhere. It’s easy to use and if it’s too big for your desk you can let part of it hang over the side. It also doesn’t make those scratching sounds that some other mousepads can make. The QcK+ is the ultimate in portability. Forget having a large piece of plastic, glass, aluminium, etc to carry around to your next LAN party. This pad rolls right up and fits in your pocket.
So, what can i really say about the QcK+? It’s really, really big. It’s also very portable and it makes an excellent mousing surface. If you have the space, i would really recommend this pad. It’s large enough for the most active gamer, while being portable and rugged enough to stand up to years of hardcore gaming. Of course due to its size and stability, you’ll need to think of another excuse when you get fragged online!
