Now, switches are great. The more buttons there are to push, the happier we are. Also, we really like the idea of being able to turn the cold cathode on and off at will. The problem is location.
You can either leave the switch inside the case (which is not very practical) or, as recommended in the instructions, you can use the provided washer as a guide to cut a hole in your case to mount the switch in a convenient location. That little step moves this whole installation from something anyone can do, to something that requires a bit of skill and confidence.

Not everyone is willing to cut a hole in their case to mount a switch. If you have the tools and motivation, it’s really quite simple but make sure you know exactly where you want that switch to be mounted since once you’ve made that hole it’s there to stay. This kit could have been made much more beginner friendly if the switch were installed in a bay or pci slot cover. Thereby bypassing the need to cut holes at all.

Now, let’s talk colour. The kit we assembled came with a blue light and it really does the job well. The colour is bright and clear. In a dark room this blue light is one of the best we have ever seen. It presents the perfect balance between colour and brightness.

Pros:
•Easy installation
•Bright colours
•Inverter leaves you room to expand

Cons:
•Switch mounting is complicated
