So what is a gamer to do? Well, today we are going to take a look at the Icemat Siberia Multi Headset. A set of stereo headphones with microphone to enhance your audio experience.
Right out of the box, the Siberia is impressive looking. A white frame with black earphones, it looks quite distinctive. What is impressive is the fact that the uni-directional microphone is on a separate wire with it’s own on/off switch. If you want to use the microphone for chatting in-game or online, then you can plug it in. If you just want to listen to some music or watch a video without disturbing anyone around you, then you can take the microphone off. I like the fact that the microphone has a number of options. Firstly, it is not directly attached to the headset itself. It works as a clip-on or (and this is what I thought was quite impressive) the Siberia comes with a bracket you can attach to your monitor so that you can attach the microphone.
The Siberia also comes with a 1/8 to ¼ (3.5mm to 6.3mm) adapter so that you can attach your headset to your stereo system/MP3 player as well. Also, just to show Icemat’s attention to detail, all the connectors are gold plated. With all the thought put into the Icemat Siberia, we had high hopes for the sound quality of this system and when we took a look at the specs we were quite impressed by what we saw.
