We’d like to thank Lionel at CaseBuy tech for this sample.
Today’s review is for all you technically inclined readers out there or for anyone who just seems to have a lot of bad luck when it comes to computers. I have in front of me the EZ Power Supply Tester from CaseBuy Tech. Simply put, this device is a must have for anyone who repairs, builds and/or troubleshoots computers on a regular basis.
About the size of a deck of cards this device is designed to test whether or not your power supply is in working order. It has a 20 pin connector on the right hand side of the unit and a P4, 4 pin HDD and a 4 pin floppy connector on the left hand side. With an array of 9 lights built into the top of this aluminium case, testing is both quick and simple.
This device is one of the most practical products I have seen in a long time. First off, it is very portable (pocketsize to be exact) and it is incredibly easy to use. More than once i’ve had a computer that for whatever reason suddenly stopped working. This leads to a number of tests in order to find out what has gone wrong. Unfortunately there was never an easy way to know for sure whether or not the power supply had died or if the problem was elsewhere without digging out another psu and testing it in the system. Thanks to the EZ Power Supply Tester that problem has been solved. Just plug your power supply into the tester and it will tell you what’s going on.
So we decided to put this device through its paces. This was quite possibly the easiest product we have ever had the pleasure of testing. Using a known good power supply we turned it on and plugged it into the 20 pin connector socket on the tester. The device beeped and we checked the display. The lights are self-explanatory with a light for the +3.3 V, -12V, PG, +12 V, +5SB, -5V and the +5V. Simply put, if the light is on, all is good. If one or more of the lights remain dark then those lines fail. Same procedure for the HDD and the floppy. Plug the appropriate cable into the tester and check the lights for the +12V and the +5V.
The most difficult thing about getting a fresh web site launched is coming to a decision what the available domain names are there within your niche. If the website is about web hosting, it’s really difficult to get dedicated hosting.com; but you can hope for your dedicatedhosting.com. Obviously, this website will offer broadband and website design services so it would not bad to consider these words as a domain name.
