I’m not really going to go into much detail when it comes to installation. It’s a mouse people! The biggest decision you will have to make is whether to plug it into a USB port or to use the PS2 adapter. After that it’s pretty much plug and play. You will want to install the drivers off of the disk in order to use the cross-directional scrolling feature but outside of that it’s a 2 minute job.
I really like this mouse. It’s a bit smaller that some mice l have used (measuring 110mm X 58mm X 37mm) but it is a comfortable fit for my hand (which l think is pretty much an average size). Also, l like a mouse with a quick response time and this one responds better than many mice l have used over the years. So, if you like simple, responsive mice that look quite nice sitting beside your computer, than this is the mouse for you. On the other hand, if you like your mouse to have extra buttons down the sides and a collection of add-on features then you might want to keep looking.
In my opinion, this mouse is designed more for the professional than the hardcore gamer. That’s not to say this is a bad gaming mouse by any means (the response speed makes it a solid FPS mouse as well), rather I’m thinking of how it presents itself. The Beetle is a mouse that is sure to draw attention while sitting by your computer without resorting to flashing light or having everything glow. There are no logos, sweat pads, neon or other bits of eye-candy associated with this mouse. It is simply a nice solidly performing mouse that happens to look better than a number of mice on the market today.
Pros:
• It’s a nice looking mouse
• Very responsive
• Comes with a USB to PS2 adapter
• Cross-directional scrolling
• Comfortable to use
Cons:
• I didn’t find a lot of uses for the Cross-directional scrolling but that might just be me.
